Frequently asked questions

What PTE score do I need for Queensland state nomination?

BSMQ requires at least Competent English, but nomination rounds are competitive and most successful applicants sit well above the minimum. Proficient English (65 in each section) is the realistic target, and Superior English (79 in each) earns the maximum English points. We set your target from the points you actually need.

How long will it take me to reach 79+ in Brisbane?

Four to eight weeks for most students starting from a Competent-level base. If you have sat PTE before and need a lift in one or two sections, a two-week intensive is usually enough. The diagnostic test tells us which it is before you commit to anything.

Are your Brisbane classes online or in person?

Live online, Monday to Friday, in batches capped at four students. Queensland does not observe daylight saving, so from October to April the Melbourne evening batch starts at 7pm Brisbane time — earlier than it sounds, and easier to make after work.

Do you help nurses and health workers meet AHPRA English requirements?

Yes, and it is a large part of our Brisbane intake. AHPRA sets a minimum in every section, so the plan targets your weakest band rather than your overall score. A strong overall with one short section still misses the requirement.

Where can I sit PTE in Brisbane?

Brisbane has accredited Pearson venues in the CBD and surrounding areas, with sittings most weeks. Availability tightens around nomination rounds and semester intakes, so book as soon as your target date is settled.

Can I try a Brisbane class before I enrol?

A diagnostic test, a section-by-section score analysis, one live group class, and 48 hours of access to the AI practice portal. No card details, and no obligation to enrol afterwards.

What happens if I do not hit my target score?

On the 1-Month Guaranteed program you keep attending group classes at no extra cost for up to six months until you reach your target. There is no re-enrolment fee and no limit on how many classes you attend in that period.
