How to use these materials in order

Start with a diagnostic rather than with a template. Templates are useful once you know which tasks are actually costing you marks; used first, they tend to lock in a rigid approach to sections that were never your problem.

Work on enabling skills alongside task practice. Pronunciation, oral fluency, grammar, spelling, vocabulary and written discourse sit underneath the four headline scores and quietly cap them. A student stuck at 65 Speaking is usually not slow — they are being marked down on pronunciation consistency.

Practise under exam timing from the beginning. Untimed practice builds accuracy that collapses the moment a clock appears.

The tasks worth the most preparation time

Read Aloud, Repeat Sentence and Describe Image feed the Speaking score, and Read Aloud additionally contributes to Reading. Write From Dictation contributes to both Writing and Listening and is the highest return-per-minute task in the whole exam.

Summarize Written Text and the essay carry Writing. Both reward a controlled, repeatable structure over ambitious vocabulary — the scoring rewards accuracy and form, not flourish.

If your time is limited, prioritise the tasks that score across two skills. That is where the same practice hour does double duty.
